Apple’s October 18 virtual Unleashed event ended with big announcements from the technology giants. The company officially released new AirPods, 2 different Macbook Pros, 2 New Custom chips, a new Apple Music Voice Plan and more HomePod Mini colours.
Also, in the announcement is the release of redesigned Macbook Pros with notch design, MagSafe, ProMotion display, Mini-LED, HDMI and SD Card support all perfect for creators.
AirPods 3
The new Airpod has a slight redesign with smaller stems and no ear tips. Physically, they follow the Airpods Pro design but have no noise cancellation. Apple says that this new AirPod has spatial audio and louder bass than its Airpods 2. They are sweat and water-resistant and cost only $179. They will be available on Monday 17th for Pre-order.
2 New MacBook Pros
Apple announced two new MacBook Pros in 14-inch and 16-inch sizes. The MacBook Pros are refreshed with an edge to edge design. It even has a notch that resembles the one released on the iPhone 13 albeit with a better 1080p Facetime camera. This is the first time Apple is listening to the Pro creators, it finally added an HDMI, SD card slot and MagSafe 3 to these laptops.

New Custom Chips: The M1 Pro and M1 Max
Rumours calling Apple’s latest custom chips M1X got it all wrong. The newest chips from Apple are the M1 Pro and M1 Max. They are powering its latest MacBook Pros, the Pro chip has 33 billion transistors. While the Max chip has a beefier 57 billion transistors, now that’s a big flex.
A flex that ProMotion on these laptops will be buttery smooth at 120HZ refresh rates. Apple brought Magsafe charging which promises a 50 percent charge in just 30 minutes.
Apple Music New $4.99 Monthly Voice Plan
The Cupertino company launched a newer Music plan called the “Voice”. It costs $4.99 monthly and doesn’t have spatial audio and other premium features on its regular Music plan. This competes directly with Spotify’s music plan. It becomes in 17 countries later in the fall.
Home Pod Mini Has More Colours
Apple’s tiny smart speaker now has more colour options, now in yellow, orange, and blue. It seems like a move by the company to sell more of the speakers, they retail for the same price of $99 in November.
